Standard error of measurement

A key notion from measurement theory that applies to much evaluation, especially judgmental evaluation. It indicates the amount by which the asserted measure might vary if the same test was repeated, and is often reported as M /- d, where d is the standard error of measurement. For details, see (Stat.).
