A right of human subjects which controls several matters of importance to the evaluator, notably issues of confidentiality and anonymity that may place obligatory considerations on designing data collection methods, data access control, and results formatting and publishing. These matters are usually scrutinized by Human Subjects Independent Review Boards (HSIRBs) for any research funded from state or federal sources.
