Jump to: navigation, search

One in which the results identify the student's performance simply by reference to the performance of the rest of the class, e.g., as best, top quartile, average, 35th percentile. Any ranking procedure is a kind of minimalist NRT, classifying a testee by reference to the comparison between their performance and at least one other testee. Cf. criterion-referenced test.
