Meta-evaluation
From EvaluationWiki
An evaluation of one or more evaluations. Commonly confused in usage and glossaries with meta-analysis of evaluations, see the entry on meta-analysis. This may be done in several ways: for example, one may do a confirmatory evaluation, using an alternative evaluator and/or preferably an alternative evaluation approach; or one can go over the primary evaluation with a fine tooth comb, checking every step and item of data; or apply the Program Evaluation Standards, or the Key Evaluation Checklist one of the several available specific checklists for meta-evaluation. The term was invented by Michael Scriven in 1969.
