Evaluation of research

Quite different from evaluation research, this is the process of identifying the quality or value (pay-off from) or significance of research, a key component in the personnel process at universities in evaluating their research faculty, and in the unit evaluation process at companies and government departments who have to check on the success of their R&D units.
