Evaluability

Jump to: navigation, search

The extent to which something can be evaluated. In practice, this usually means the extent to which it can be evaluated within the normal range of resources and time available for evaluations. The evaluability of programs, for example, depends on the extent to which they keep verifiable records or are accessible for inspection by evaluators. Evaluability assessment is therefore the determination of the extent to which something can be evaluated, and may be an important part of the planning of programs when it is known that they must be, e.g., for accountability reasons, evaluable.
