Checklist
From EvaluationWiki
A simple device that serves as a memory jogger and often more, it is of great value in evaluation, where very complex checks have to be done in the interest of consistency and comprehensiveness. Since it is also the mandated device of choice in readying every aircraft ever legally flown today, as well as every busy person's To Do list, it has plenty of acknowledged practical value to recommend it. Simple thought it is, there are some rules for developing checklists that have to be followed to avoid trouble, even though in many simple applications we don't run into trouble with them. For an account of its logic and many examples of its use in evaluation, see the Checklist Project materials on the same web site as this glossary, under the pull-down menu labeled Tools and Resources.
